Temporary files are created in system hard drive temporarily during installation of software or run time of program or installation of program or browsing of websites. Some temporary files are deleted automatically after installation or execution of program but some files are still in the hard drive. These files occupy space in hard drive and spaces are increased with number of files. So when there are many temp files in hard drive it creates problem and available disk space is drastically reduce. There are two types of temporary files one is related to windows and another is related to user. So there are two specific location for temp file in system, one is located under Windows folder another is under documents->user->local settings.
Besides those, it may created in different location depends on program which creates it.
From this study, we observe most of temp files are created in the drive where operating system installed and it reduce the system drive space which may hamper our system performances when the size of temp files is large enough.
