Facebook timeline recent activity and post disappeared

Facebook Timeline gives our profile a new graphical look. It also launches many new features. Activity log is one of them where we will find all of our recent activities on profile, example: Any “Like” on own or others post, comments, status update, add new photos, invites someone to add group, add albums, send friend request etc.

But sometimes we face problem with disappear recent activity from Facebook timeline or wall post from profile. This problem is one of the common problems in new feature. It may happen in two stage of your account.

- When your account transfer from old wall view to Timeline or New profile in Timeline.
- Another stage is for existing Timeline account, where recent activity disappears without any specific reason.

The first case we can handle very easily. It basically happen due to transfer and the solution depends on visibility of your post or activity like (Public, Friends and Custom). Now set your visibility settings from privacy setting or directly from activity log.

Step 1: Click on Activity Log which you will find just right bottom of your cover image.

Step 2: Now a new windows will appear, here select all from upper right side.

View all info

Step 3: Next Click on “approve” to allow or “ignore” for deny, or you can click “approve all” for allow all activity in new timeline.

Second case is very much complicated and most of the time no reason can identified for disappearing posts or comments or status updates. Even Facebook authority can not find any concrete solution such type of unusual behaviors. So they suggest their user if any one face problem with disappear or reappear, then user have to inform Facebook team. They will try to resolve your problem and fix bugs, if possible then they will provide feedback. But I suggest for some checking before inform Facebook team.

If your post disappears, click on Activity log, then try to find your post by date. If your posts show in activity log, you will find a circle right side of your activity. Now from circle select “Allow on Timeline” and change visibility option. After that you must find the post in your timeline.

  1. I was so pleased to find your solution to the Timeline Recent Activity issue. Unfortunately, I can only get to stage 2. Stage 3 - Approve all does not show as an option for me. Lynsey

  2. I think This is not first time you enter activity log...so approve all is not appear. Now you have to individually allow your positing...check your privacy setting also..

  3. I had a status update. It was there, people commented on it, and now it's gone. It is not on my timeline, or anywhere to be seen.

  4. Go to Activity Log, Then select All, Here you will find all of your timeline update. Now select ring top right of your post and Click to Allow it on timeline. If you will not find it there it must be deleted by someone who comments on the post and you allow everyone/friends to delete your post.

  9. Unfortunately this doesn't help me. I have a newer facebook account made with timeline only. Posts on my timeline have all disappeared (yet some recent things friend posted on my timeline still show in the news feed). To complicate things, my entire activity log is now also blank, except for one friending message from today.

  10. @Anonymous, Do you check the All from upper drop down, if not check it first. There also some some bugs in FB timeline. If the problem exist then e-mail to FB team.

  13. I changed to the Timeline at Christmas 2011 . . for the first week . . I had no problems. I was thrilled with it. But as soon as the year switched over to 2012 . . anything I would post would disappear . . I have not been able to keep posts on my wall for 8 months. I went to my activity and hit "ALL" and looked at each post that I have posted . . each of them show they are on the timeline. I have tried clicking FEATURE . . sometimes that will get a post back for a day. I am lost for what to do. I have sent fb many Screenshots of my page . . and reported it as a bug many times. No help . . and I have never been contacted by fb. If you have any ideas please let me know.

  14. @Paris Facebook timeline has few bugs that include disappear post from timeline. And only Facebook development team can resolve it. They are working to resolve but still bugs are on the page. So you have no alternative and mailed to Facebook support....and wait...

  15. All my posts had disappeared. When I went to my activity log, it already said that my posts were allowed on the timeline. I clicked on the first post and clicked "Allowed on Timeline" anyway (even though that's what it said already) and somehow magically all my posts reappeared on the timeline. Wierd. Anyway, thanks much for the tip, and I hope this helps someone else.

  16. I have very similar problem. My posts and status updates are visible on timeline, but all comments (to my own posts and posts by others) and likes of my friends' posts are not posted to the timeline and are visible only in my activity log. It is said that comments are "allowed on timeline", there is no option to hide them, only to delete. I tried clicking on "allowed on timeline" anyway, as Anonymous suggested, it did not help. There is no option to "approve" anything in the activity log.

It has been going on for several months since I switched to timeline. I informed facebook support many times and never heard from them. Don't think I will (some people say that fb support actually do not exist, and nobody reads these bug reports). Does anybody have any idea what to do/who can help? It is really annoying...

Brief and Examples on Simplex, Half-Duplex, Full-Duplex Transmission

In data communication, there are three types of communication styles; they are Simplex, Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex. Here we discuss about their characteristics with examples. Simplex: In this communication style data can send only and basically it is one way or uni-direction communication. This type of communication is not widely used for transmit trusted data because it can not send any error or control signal to sender terminal. This style of communication is vastly used in Radio and TV where we can see and hear or receive data only but we can not send any information data by the same channel. Half-Duplex: Half-Duplex is another type of communication style where data can and send and receive but not at the same time. In this communication type, if data is send from one end, then we can not send data from another that means communication establish in one direction.  This communication vastly used in walkie-talkie, intercom, string phone etc. The practical exam

Limit user from changing system time and date in Windows OS

Most of us do not concern with system date and time. But it is one of most important factor in all operating system because when all software need system date and time for any update whether it is server end or end user end. Here we are talking about the importance of system date and time and procedure to restrict user from changing system date and time from front end or user end. So we need to keep it intact without any unnecessary changes. If any user except can have the right to change date and time from user end, then it will fall us in deep trouble specially when we run software which take entry time input from end user end. There are also many software mechanisms which does not allow date and time difference to start up.  For above reason we do not give user access to change date and time from user end. We can limit the user from this feature. Here I show steps how we can control user access in windows operating systems. Steps to follow:- 1. Go to "Start menu" an
